whew!
i am so glad it is friday. i have had a busy week. i am also so glad that i woke up on time this morning because i am applying for a job today at the University of Memphis and needed to write a cover letter and tweak my resume objective, and finish this behemoth of an application in which i had to list every single job i have ever had. that was a lot of searching parts of my memory that are not so strong.
the weekend will not be that much slower than the week has been, what with getting the house ready for Brett and Emily and my brother and Audrey and christmas and all that.... but that will be self-directed and fun. i cannot wait to see B&E! yay! and we had so much fun last year on christmas eve with my family, this year will be even better!
and then a going away clothing exchange/house painting at Amber's on sunday. really looking forward to that because i have loads of clothing i want to give away, just sitting there, bagged up and ready to go.
still have to do most of the gift-getting for folks for christmas. santa has been accomplished, but most everyone else has not. good thing is that the people we bought the car from run the Global Goods store in the First Congo church and while i was there yesterday i saw lots of things the people on my list would love. reasonably priced, unique, and all of it fair trade. cannot beat that. hoping i can go to that one place and get nearly everyone covered.
in the midst of all this i have fallen down on a few meetings with people (arline, valencia, sorry!) but it will all get worked out. just going to get through the day, one day at a time, and have faith that people understand, at least hypothetically, the craziness of being a working mother with a creative life. it is a wonder i remember to brush my teeth some days, i tell you.

well, for some reason i did not realize that the cut off for turning that in was 3pm. i sauntered in at 3:03 and they said, "we will still accept it." good thing! no interview today, they have to go through the applications first, i guess. i am sure they get a ton. mine's the best, though. ;)
