well that was super fun!

the city house salon gig was the funnest thing i have played in a while. sunset gig, children running around everywhere. they had tables with playdoh and bubble and balloons and all kinds of other stuff there. perfect litte spot of wide sidewalk so the kids could play without getting in the street. old friends and new friends and just a generally positive energy.

i played deep house for two hours and then moved into some broken beat and nujazz. i must say i was grooving on that the most, and people could tell. it was so relaxing and exciting to just play what i felt like playing. that is what it is all about.

the owner of the salon wants me to come back every month for the trolley tour in trade for free services. i will think about it. i do not really have a need or a desire for a cut and color every month. i will, however, be happy to go get my hair shampooed by dara periodically and possibly a pedicure, because those are truly decadent and luxurious. those are my favorite parts, and because they are body work.
