weekend tour

whew! what a long weekend!

friday night, i spent the night at the hospital with jen and jeremy, staying until eliza graced us with her presence that next morning. then we picked up jah isaac, and came home. my friend scott had stopped through on a cross-county drive, so i visited with him for a few minutes, then showered and crashed til about 6pm.

then it was off to my gig. loaded all the equipment, went down to set up about 830. jason and jah isaac came along, in costume, and help me set up. thank goodness, as i had left an entire box of records at home, had to go pick them up. jah isaac was apparently the hit of downtown memphis for the rest of the night.

the party i played was dead for the whole night. i didn't expect it to get busy since there were fifty twelve different parties saturday night, but it was really quiet. i still had fun. played some downtempo stuff for the first hour and then jammed 118 bpm house the last three hours.

sunday i had plans to make my house clean, but those succombed to the baby and i taking another four hour afternoon nap, me waking up in just enough time to put his costume on him and go out to mel's to trick or treat.

jah isaac, dressed as a little devil, picked up on the whole thing quickly, running from house to house saying, "ooooooooooooooooooooooh!!!" he kept his hat on the whole time and didnt eat too much candy. we then took him by to see both of his grammas, and we were finally home. jah isaac was jacked for quite a while.

now that it is monday, i am tired like it is friday, but it was a very positive weekend, i had a good time. today is all about recovering, taking jah isaac to meet eliza, and maybe getting some new records.

it's one of the few times i go exploring a friend's site. it is a touching and heart warming surprise not to see that i have been written about, but that someone whom i consider a friend reciprocates that feeling and sentiment. in this world not everyong i consider a friend would take the time to consider me the same. it is hard to learn and accept that those who do not take the time to listen and share common ground and learn of what dwells within another's heart are not truely friends. lorin is my friend, and i am thankful for that and the reciprocal friendship she has to offer... i hope all your dys are full of smiles.
