Saturna

my car is broken down. jason's car refuses to start periodically. i usually just give it a push and start it cold when that happens, but it refused today. the TV is acting funny, not wanting to stay on - it is less than a year old. and now my iPod will not hold a charge like it should - it also is less than a year old, as it was replaced last august. the new AC unit does not cool too well, which is odd considering it has double the BTUs of the old one.

i found myself looking to the sky to see if some huge extra-terrestrial vehicle was headed my way on the horizon.

actually, i know it is just that the cars need some loving, which they will get as soon as my mechanic clears his schedule, or i give up on him and get a new mechanic. the TV and the iPod will be dealt with through Best Buy and the Apple store. the AC unit might just need some freon. (we have an even bigger better one but the landlord wont let us put it in because he fears it will fry his janky electric system. it probably would.)

so we are fighting a battle with electronics and mechanics rather than hostile aliens. right about now i am feeling pretty thankful for that, and pretty tickled at the absurdity of life at certain points.
