yesterday i found out that i got the job for which i interviewed in Nashville last week. i am so incredibly stoked!

i will be "Ms. X" for Red Bull in the TN region, along with a neat guy in Nashville. initially i would have covered Memphis, Nashville, and Knoxville, but now we are going to work together, handle our own cities, and knock heads about other areas. he has some unique talents and experience that appear to finely complement mine, so i think that change in the scheme of things will be an excellent thing. he loves some good music, too... so it will be nice to knock heads on that as well.

we both will be responsible for educating and recruiting for the Red Bull Music Academy through setting up info sessions and helping applicants with anything they need during the process, and keeping in touch with them throughout the year. i will have fun with this, having gone through that process myself twice. those times stand out as crazy-wonderful periods of self-examination and creative growth for me, and i hope to be able to translate the inspiration i experienced to people going through it themselves.

then after the crunch time of that we can make this be as creative as possible. kind of an "eyes and ears" of a company which truly does some neat things to support underground culture and creativity of all kinds. a job that allows me to be creative and support other musicians and artists makes me a happy camper indeed.

i will be going to Denver week after next for training, which should be a fun learning experience.

so who wants to do the happy dance with me?? i am so blessed and happy with the changes on my job front since this year began. it is amazing how the universe will support you when you walk off the plank with good intentions.
