this weekend
strangely enough, i am playing downtown on the river at the memphis in may BBQ Fest and cooking contest, saturday night.
i made them promise to make me some tofu.
the team is called the "Pink Ladies" and they are apparently the only all female team, often getting coverage on Food Network, etc. there is also local coverage where you can watch how crazy people act when they drink lots of beer. true southern stuff, indeed.
if you are down there, come say hi to me saturday night.

well, this is off.
apparently the drunk people down there bugged the crap out of the deejay last night so he left early. they want to hear pop and radio stuff, which none of us who were booked play.
so my friend told me it would not be worth my time. thank maude - i really do not want to lug equipment through crowds and smell seared flesh all night just to feel like no one appreciates what i do.
