this little house
i am trying to maintain a middle-of-the-road stance about our possible move into a house in my favorite neighborhood, but admittedly, i am all about it. the circumstances in which we moved into this house were ugly, due to a terrible roommate situation and the need to find a place immediately. while i am thankful that we found something when we did, i feel we have paid our penance and can (and should) move out of this purgatory into a place more of our choosing.
it is a 3 bedroom, with 2 front rooms, wide open kitchen with breakfast area, redone bathroom, and laundry room with W/D included. hardwoods, brand new CH/A, and brand new, up-to-code electrical being installed right now. there is also a backhouse that will be finished in a couple of months that will be climate controlled and can be made secure enough for housing the studio, a fenced in backyard, and the front porch will be newly renovated by the end of the week. all it would need is a coat of paint, and we can decide what colors.
i feel the landlord will be a good one, worlds better than our current one in that he cares about his property and has the motivation to improve upon it. he has already shown a willingness to work with us, and if he will add in a list of things he has said he will do to the lease, it feels like a good move to me.
we'll see if its what the universe has in mind. i would like to have a new living space more appropriate to our current life. i want to dig for earthworms in the backyard with my son, eat meals at a table, put plants on the front porch.

thanks! we can do it if we want to, no problem... there are just a few things that need to be fixed in the house, and we want assurance that those things will happen. so we are just feeling it out for the next few days. should know by the weekend if we are a go.
i, of course, am already dreaming up paint colors and decor ideas, imagining drinking my coffee on the front porch, sitting at an actual table when we eat, doing my laundry at home! oh how divine!
it really is the little things...
