this year's christmas is turning out to be so wonderful.

i thought that due to financial losses in the past month or so that it was going to suck. boy was i wrong, and i do not mean that i found some money.

i mean that for the first time since i was living at home with my mother, we will all be together on christmas morning. mom, my brother colin, and his wonderful wife audrey will be staying the night here on christmas eve, so we will all be able to see isaac flip out when he sees his santa presents. jason and i have gone a little overboard, not in expense, but in the size of the things that will be "under" the tree. i say "under" because it is very little, and smaller than at least one of the things isaac is getting.

i am simply beside myself with glee. i have been reorganizing the house, tackling projects that i have been putting off, and i am even going to clean out the junk drawer. (well, maybe.) mom is bringing our old stockings that she made, and i am going to decorate ones for everone else - those are my favorite. i am thinking of all kinds of food to have here and ways to get isaac to bed so we can get his stuff ready. that will be the biggest feat... he is going to be so jacked up with everyone here. i think we will all have to act like we are going to bed, then get up once he is good and out.

this is the kind of stuff that christmas is really about.
