oh well, and a ponderance

so i was correct in that i spoke too soon about this job that wanted. i had the right idea, i think. i just cannot work 54 hours per week, particularly not at the pay they offer. i do not think i would really want to work that many hours per week even if the pay was six figures - unless i was touring the world and had my son with me, and even then it would be a big stretch.

that said, i just wonder how a social activism organization can can set themselves up to be not family-friendly. this is not a criticism of a job that did not work out, rather a ponderance on my part. i would think that part of the point of this organization would be not only to work for living wage, but also livable hours for employees who have families. this would include the vast majority of workers in our country. why not make that a reality first for the employees of the organization itself? at the hours they ask, that would not technically be a living wage, if you break it down by hour.

i will say i would have rocked this job were i right out of college, with no boyfriend, no child, and no creative life. but i think that has never been the case in my reality, because i have always had at least a creative life, however ebbing and slow i may be to produce anything from it.

off to price the Oxygen 8 and see how much the boys at GC will cut off of it.... and to apply for other jobs, and clarify my manifestation list to include full-time, 40 hours per week.
