officially toasted.

my car, that is. this time, it is the real deal toasted. the transmission has gone out. it has been slipping for a while and we have tried adding fluid, which did not help. ok, it helped for about, hrmmm..... ten minutes. i have been having to drive with my hazards on for about fifty percent of the time.

that's me, inspiring road rage all over midtown memphis.

i guess i was not lying when i said i was going to drive that car until it really quit. i will not be investing $1288 dollars into a car that blue books under $500.

thanks, car... you did a good job for the time you carted us around. i will particularly miss your heat, since the other car doesn't have such a wonderful amenity.

Urgh, cars. I just had my breaks redone to the tune of $1,600 not so long ago. OUCH!!!!!!!!

It is too bad, that we have to rely on cars so much. Sorry yours died, I was sad when Blacky died (remember my black truck?) . I still miss her. I had her for almost 11 years, and she really went through a lot with me. I wasn't as good to her as I could have been, though I always changed the oil.

Now I have this car, which I can't name. I got a great deal on it, was in my price range, and way under book value, (but it is not as environmentally friendly as I want it to be). I needed a car immediately, and we had just been through that awful time when sheets of ice lay over the roads. Alas, I wish I could afford a hybrid, though they are very expensive now, and I think after about five years, you have to replace the expensive battery. Hopefully this situation will improve SOON.

I hpoe you find the perfect car, at a price you can easily afford.
