I am just glad you're jumping in. Last night (I noticed) it was in the back bend, towards the end of class, Did it hurt at any other part of the practice? Knees are not so forgiving. They require a lot of patients, and time. We have lots of that. well definitely figure it out. I am just glad you're jumping in. The instruction can sound a bit mind boggling at times because it is subtile and intricate. Sometimes I explain the more sublile aspects more than others. There is a lot to talk about in yoga, and there are many layers. (that is one reason I find it so interesting) With regard to your wrist, it could be that some basic strengthning is needed, and that will come with practice. It could also be about weight distribution, there is all kinds of bablnce and counter balance to consider, and you may be falling into your wrist, rather than using your whole palm. and even your finger tips. A common thing that people do is either muscle thuough, relying mostly on their arms, rather than their core. I will explain more when I see you. It may be a good idea to have support for your knee for a while. Tell me where the issue is, and I can think of things for you to do to help support and strengthen it. I am actually going to go practice now. More later Don't worry, sometimes things just click over time. The instruction can sound a bit mind boggling at times because it is subtile and intricate.
