checking in with you from the house of maladies. i am totally joking because i don't like thinking like that,

but jah isaac definitely has a Urinary Tract Infection, so he is on some stronger antibiotics now and also has to go for an ultrasound and an xray, most probably to rule out a Wilm's tumor.

the good news is that i finally figured out how to guarantee he gets his meds. ice cream! he has become an expert at preventing anything from a syringe from going down his throat, so this has set my mind at ease, and makes for much less stress in what feels like a really stressful time.

he and i both now have a chest cold. (i feel like utter crap because i worked the past two days despite this.) i think it is the same damn virus being passed between mom, isaac and me, mutating form, or a secondary bacterial infection that snuck in there while we were all immuno-compromised. at this point, i am cool with a virus or a bacteria, because those go away without entirely too much trauma. it seems pretty mild compared to stuff that has to be xrayed and viewed via ultrasound, you know?

the job search, or preparation for it, it going very positively. i get the feeling that lots of folks are going to bat for me and that is both exciting and relieving.

jah isaac's birthday is tomorrow. by this time three years ago i had already been in labor 18 hours, with 24 more to go. crazytown! i thought about postponing his party, which is sunday, but decided that since it is outdoors at the park to just go through with it and walk around being the purell police, with a sharpie to label juice boxes. we could really use some fun time.
