keeping things cold
today i woke up a little late - frazzled but still in time to do my phone work. i made my coffee like normal and when i put the cream back into the fridge i noticed the light was not on. the day progresses some and it seems like the fridge is not working - stuff is starting to condense.
at first i was thinking, "of all the luck," and, "mercury retrograde can suck it!" but then i just decided to deal. got on all my internet haunts and found someone to lend me a dorm fridge. i picked it up and it is in the back seat of my car. (it was stressful and scary to drive all the way from Cordova with jah isaac in the front seat!) i have not exactly figured out how to get it up the stairs just yet. i believe i could do it, but it would take about an hour. so i am planning to get the strapping young highschool guys from downstairs to help.
thing is... now that we are back.. the stuff in the fridge is still very cold. so now i am wondering if it was just the light all along. that would be pretty funny, wouldn't it? i went and took care of business so fast it turns out i may not have even needed to... either way i am covered now - i think the food will keep overnight even if it is really dead, and i can finish this whole ordeal in the morning.
oh, and jah isaac set off the fire alarm today when i went to pick up my first paycheck for my at home work. i bet they would like it if i were to just have them mail it from now on...

so glad i was right when i said things would work out......and mercury or retrograde (HA) or saturn and that new planet are not out to get you. in jah's words "I TOLDJA":,, instead you have the planet and all those who love you solidly behind you.
I LOVE YOU..mom

Girl I would have helped you, you don't need the strapping guys to help, though convenience in having that option is nice (esp. w/a little munchkin running around). I have moved many awkward and heavy things up the stairs alone, sometimes out of stubborn refusal for help, and other times, cause I had no help around. Maybe I have super girl complex.
I am glad you got a fridge, and that nothin went bad.

oh i usually have a super girl complex too. in this case, i just stopped caring about it by the end of the day... since things were still cold in there. i totally could have managed that up the stairs, but it would not have been the smart thing to do... the guy downstairs and i moved it up yesterday and it is sitting in the hall in case something weird happens with the fridge while i am in Denver.
