interesting reading
i had to step away from some fiction for a moment because i was losing my steam. page carefully marked for coming back to it, i picked up a couple of books that a client let me borrow.
Sam Harris' Letter to a Christian Nation and The End of Faith: Religion, Terror, and the Future of Reason are both what i would consider to be must-reads, for everyone in this nation, everyone in this world.
the first will only take you about on hour of devoted attention, and will literally have you making itterations out loud as you agree with some of its points. people will look at you funny but it will be ok.
the second, i have just begun, but it promises to flesh out the details of the first. i am learning so much from these books. and while the subject matter is about the most serious one could tackle, Harris manages to keep his tongue in his cheek and give us a little bit of laughter along the way.
