how long it is going to take for this cold to go away. i am stuck in that place where i feel like utter hell, but i am not sick enough to call into work or call in help with jah isaac. not sure how much longer i can handle this.

why it is that i pay so much money every month for a broadband connection that fails to provide me consistent connectivity, much like a car sitting in your driveway that you can never be sure will start when you leave to go to work in the mornings.

sometimes, if people are in the same room as me, after listening to a recording of a live broken beat set i did back in july. i distinctly remember an excellent crowd reaction and at least 8 people telling me how wonderful it was. recordings do not lie, as it was, at least technically, utter shite. total cringe material. so were they lying, or could they just not truly hear?

I think it's all about being there, and feeling the music, the moment, the "vibe" if you will pardon the hippie expression. There is simply no replacing the experience, or even capturing it on tape. Nothing compares to being there.

i guess i should not have complained about a little intermittent service. this morning, i woke up to no power at all. i had to boil water on my stove to make a cup of coffee.
then i tried to have an internet moment at starf*x in cordova, and they tell me that "wireless has not made it out here." i asked them if they wanted me to run across the street to best buy, pick up a router, and set up the network for them, since their national website brags about the free wireless they offer in each store. i said this in a nice tone of voice, of course. that's what i get for going there.

sorry there is nothing reliable around. and it sucks loosing the power on top of that.

Right in the middle of the wind storm that happened last night, I watched helplessly as the power up our entire block went out house by house. I understand completely. Egads!

time warner came out friday and looked at everything, said nothing was wrong. i wasnt here to explain exactly what was happening though. for right now, i am thankful even if there is some intermittance.
