Saturna

so for now over a week i have been battling some kind of illness. i have been fatigued, bad headachey, sinuses packed (though i can breathe through my nose), and some pain in my ear and throat areas, though not a scratchy, strep throat type of pain, more lymph node type of pain. mainly the headache and fatigue are what are getting to me, but then when that gets bad, the throat pain gets worse, vicious cycle type stuff.

i also have possibly been exposed to someone who has mono, though not directly through contact or sharing drinks, but it is possible to get it through coughing and we sat next to each other for five hours. i dont know, but whatever it is seems to be hanging on and i am tired of fighting it.

i am finally giving up and going to the doctors this morning. i was going to wait until monday so i could plan it, but i am leaving shortly to hit the walk-in line so that i can maybe make it to clean at least one of my houses today after the docs.

hopefully they can help in some way, though if it is mono, there is not much that can be done for it - except rest, which is hard to get with a three year old.

update: the doc has no idea what is wrong. tested negative for strep, no inflamation of ears despite bad pain. they are running tons of bloodwork, including checking my hemoglobin, thyroid, metabolites, plasma, and tests for HIV and a monospot. looks like jason is sick now too, lots of the same symptoms, so at least it appears to be something not specific or devastating.

jah isaac is raring and ready to go. i am so glad he is not sick, but wow is he hard to handle on a normal day, much less when his caretakers are sick. its soup and back to bed.
