mother's day was started after the civil war as a protest to sending our children to war. sadly, that applies today as well. let's end this war.

mom, i would not be who i am today if it were not for your foresight and wisdom, and unflagging support of me. i love you very much, and i hope you feel like every day is mother's day.

my son has informed me that i am "not so sweet as Mother Bear," who lets Little Bear go on "lots of adventures." HAH, well, i already knew that i am more of a "tough love" kind of mother than the "sweet" kind, and until my beloved son learns how to mind me on issues of safety, his "adventures" are limited and carefully monitored. that way he can make it to adulthood.
