going to miami!

in a couple of hours i am boarding a plane to travel to miami for the winter music conference. i have a couple of awesome gigs and time to experience some wonderful deejays and producers throughout the week. this trip came about somewhat suddenly, with me only deciding to go about one month ago. i am honored and excited to go!

once i return i will be writing more personal notes, but i wanted to say thank you to those who are helping me take this trip. i asked for help from my friends and family, and everyone rallied and made me feel sooooo supported. it is because of you that i am even able to do this, and it means the world.

aside from financial support, i also want to thank the people who are helping with isaac while i am gone: jason, devoted father, weebee, grandma extraordinaire, mamaw, hardworking grandma, granddaddy, proud grampa and birthday boy (tomorrow! - happy birthday dad!), nana, on call great-grandma, and brianne, the most awesome sitter ever. leaving my son for a week is a daunting prospect. i am relieved in knowing that he is in loving hands, and thank you for it.

so, send me good vibes for my gigs, and miracle other gigs working out, and safety, and lots of fun! see you next week!

    that's so badass. it'd been a while since i listened to a lorin mix and now i'm staying later than everyone at work and am rocking out to the whitexmas mix on my $20 staples speakers (with subwoofer!).

    so i hope you had the chance to record some of the mixes from your gigs. hope you had fun.
