i have to thank my friend Jen, who posted a video to her journal a couple of weeks ago. since then, i have been exploring Feist, and i must say it is refreshing to hear a wonderful vocalist, one who is willing to be vulnerable, straightforward, and gritty, all at the same time. and with a band who keeps it simple, very Cinematic Orchestra at times, without the dramatics. those come from her voice. finding something subdued and emotional is so soothing.
