boooo
i talked to apple. i am glad i talked to them before i lugged all my stuff up there or i would have been even more aggravated than i am right now.
they will not do anything for me. apparently, the replacement that they gave me last year when my iPod died within ten months of buying it, only had a warranty of ninety days. i do not remember them making that clear to me, but whatever they say goes, apparently. so now, my replacement has died in less than a year, and all they can "offer" me is to buy a new battery for $72.06, with an undetermined turnaround time, or ten percent off a new iPod, and the kind suggestion to buy the Apple Care Plan next time.
yeah, sure seems like a "let's make something that will break or go bad within a year so the customer has to give us more money in the form of an extended care plan, a battery replacement, or even better, the tempting new version."
i talked to my dad and i am going to order an extended battery from a third party company who is reputable, for twenty bucks, and go from there.
i really want a mac but this makes me wary. and i think steve will be getting an email.
