beefy shaved dudes in speedos
good maude, i forgot to mention something funny. at my weekly (or rather, the weekly i play, because it is not of my conception) tonight, the live act is..... the Chippendales. i do believe that they were already booked for the space and we are just incorporating them into our night rather than cancelling either of the events.
the theme, as a result, is "electrosexual." i was not sure whether to laugh or to cry, so i have decided to laugh at the pure absurdity of it all. brandon will be joining me for some electro fun since i have not one clue, and i have picked up some of what they are calling "electro-house" these days. should be interesting. not sure exactly what kind of food menu electrosexual would allow.
thankfully, i do not have to be there until the beefy shaved guys in speedos are almost done, and then it is a dance party.

well, i must say, that has to be one of the single most hilarious events i have ever experienced.
especially the conversation with my own personal security guard woman who was protecting me from all the women trying to rush the stage through the deejay rig, which regarded that any smart woman would never pay $35 to get in the door and then however much mroe for photos and calendars and tank tops and even a fee to get up on the stage.
my sides hurt from laughter. it was so incongruous for me to even be there.
