back in the saddle
so i am throwing my first event in a long, long time, on NYE. i think since about two weeks before jah isaac was conceived, if you do not count the Gamut street festival.
there was nothing happening that was not $20 or more to get in, or free but in a place where everyone has been for too many new years eves to count, so i thought why not. it is shaping up and may turn out to be something quite unique. hometown heroes, people out of retirement, a live vocalist over my set, and who knows what else. five bucks, friends, and awesome music. that is enough to make me, and hopefully whomever attends, happy.
i think i will have to hit up the dollar store to see about some cheesy party decorations - though you cannot get much more kitsch than the Bucc. like Kym said, "its like partying at your unkle's lodge!" thus, the title of this post, har har.
(i just realized this will have to double as my birthday party this year, too.... too much going on that week to try to do the two things separately.)
